It\u2019s more important than ever to ensure you are protecting your health and the health of your loved ones with proper infection prevention measures. Please continue to visit this page for ongoing updates regarding the status of the Influenza virus!<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h4><strong>U.S. Influenza Activity is elevated nationally &#8211; Week ending March 14, 2026<sup>1<\/sup><\/strong><\/h4>\n<ul>\n<li>As of March 14, Influenza activity is elevated nationally but decreasing in most parts of the country.<\/li>\n<li>Approximately 12.7% of specimens tested are positive for Influenza. Most viruses are Influenza A\u00a0 (H3N2) for the season.<\/li>\n<li>As of March 14, 3.3% of outpatient visits were for Influenza-Like Illness (ILI) &#8211; this is above the national baseline.<\/li>\n<li>Fourteen pediatric deaths associated with influenza have been reported this week (total of 115 deaths this season).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h4><strong>Helpful Prevention Tips:<\/strong><\/h4>\n<ul>\n<li>Consider getting your influenza vaccination\u00a0<em>now<\/em><\/li>\n<li>Ensure that you\u2019re practicing social distancing measures: mask-wearing, hand hygiene, &amp; enhanced cleaning to protect you and your loved ones. This is helpful in COVID-19 and Influenza prevention.<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.cdc.gov\/coronavirus\/2019-ncov\/vaccines\/stay-up-to-date.html#adults\">CDC has a dedicated website<\/a> to provide guidance on COVID-19 vaccination and boosters\n<ul>\n<li>On December 9, 2022, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cdc.gov\/media\/releases\/2022\/s1012-COVID-19-Vaccines.html\">recommended<\/a> updated (bivalent) COVID-19 boosters for children ages 5 years and older in the United States.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>CDC has a community level <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cdc.gov\/coronavirus\/2019-ncov\/your-health\/covid-by-county.html\">COVID-19 tracker<\/a> to assist with helping communities and people decide on local prevention step<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>October marked the start of the 2025-2026 Influenza season.
